Chas and Dave's Chas Hodges has died, aged 74

Chas Hodges of the famous duo Chas and Dave has died at the age of 74.
Chas and Dave's Twitter account announced that he recently received treatment for oesophageal cancer, but died peacefully in his sleep this morning (September 22).
The cockney duo were hugely popular in the 1970s and 1980s, thanks to hits like 'Rabbit' and 'Snooker Loopy'.
They also recorded four FA Cup final songs with Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Chas and Dave's Twitter page read: "It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our very own Chas Hodges."

Hodges began his career as a session musician in the 1960s, and later teamed up with Dave Peacock in the 1970s.
The duo kept performing well into the 2010s, and released the album A Little Bit of Us earlier this year.
