Tommy Steele is among the famous faces on the Queen's Birthday Honours list for 2020.

Dubbed Britain's 'first rock and roll star', the 83-year-old will receive a Knighthood for his services to entertainment and charity.

Regarded as Britain's first teen idol, Tommy scored a number one with 'Singing the Blues' in 1957, and The Tommy Steele Story was the first album by a UK act to reach number one.

He also appeared in various films including Finian's Rainbow, and has appeared in several stage shows and musicals over the decades.

Meanwhile, actor David Suchet has also been awarded a Knighthood, and there are Damehoods for Mary Berry and Maureen Lipman.

Sir David Attenborough also receives an upgrade to Knight Grand Cross in the diplomatic list for services to broadcasting and conservation.

This year's list was postponed in June in order to include people who have been instrumental in the Covid-19 effort.
