A host of music stars have recorded covers of Marc Bolan's music for the tribute album, which is set to be released 50 years after the release of T. Rex's first album.
A Marc Bolan tribute album will be released later this year, with a selection of music stars giving their own takes on the late rock star's music.
Elton John, U2 and Nick Cave are among the musicians featuring on the new release, and Cave has already shared his cover of Bolan's 'Cosmic Dancer' (listen below).
The album, titled AngelHeaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan, will be released on September 4, 50 years after the release of T. Rex's first album T. Rex.

The CD was the last production of music industry legend Hal Willner, who passed away earlier this month from coronavirus.
Willner had previously spoken about the upcoming project, saying: "I became immersed in this artist by listening to everything, talking to Bolan experts and fans, researching his reviews and interviews. And I found that Bolan was hardly ever talked about as a 'composer'.
"It was all about what a great rocker he was, how innovative he was, how David Bowie took his essence and Bolan was in his shadow…
"But I put him in the same pantheon as other composers that I’ve explored before. So, the concept for the album became to show Bolan as a composer with our typical cast of artists from different worlds that one rarely sees in the same place."
Later this year, Bolan will also be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
