Queen play full 1985 Live Aid setlist “for first time in history” at Australian bushfire concert

Queen and Adam Lambert played the band’s iconic setlist from their 1985 Live Aid concert for Fire Fight Australia, a huge Australian bushfire benefit show held in Sydney at the weekend.
This marked the first time the band performed the famous 22-minute set, with Queen saying it was being staged “for the first time in its history”.
Taking place at Fire Fight Australia, Queen also showed footage of late frontman Freddie Mercury to replicate how Mercury brought out chants from the 1985 Live Aid audience at Wembley.

Brian May had described Fire Fight Australia as a benefit concert “a bit like Live Aid”, when he first revealed that Queen had been approached to play the event.

Fire Fight Australia will be shown in the UK on Sky One HD from 8pm on Monday, February 17.
Other artists on the night included Alice Cooper, Olivia Newton-John, k.d. Lang, Ronan Keating and Michael Buble.
