Imagine going on your daily commute or returning from your holiday on the Eurostar only to bump into none other than Rod Stewart and Jools Holland at the station.

What's more, what if they were actually performing some music from their upcoming collaboration together?

That's exactly what happened this week at Kings Cross St Pancras station in London, when Rod and Jools stunned travellers with a run through some swing classics.

"We headed out for a surprise performance of some of the tracks from our upcoming album Swing Fever," said Jools.

"Thanks St. Pancras for having us. You can pre-order your copy of Swing Fever and listen to our brand new single 'Almost Like Being In Love' now!"

Rod added: "Great day performing with my mate @jools.holland.official for the launch of our new album ‘Swing Fever’, which will lift the spirits of anymore who hears it x"

He continued: "jools.holland.official and I are very excited to present our brand new album Swing Fever 🎷🎶 A 13-track sparkling salute to the timeless songs of the big band years ✨

"The album will be released 23rd February and is available to pre-order now on various formats."

Talking about the album, Rod said: "I'd already started making a swing album, but it didn't turn out how I wanted it.

"It was more Frank Sinatra than it was Louis Prima, let's say. So I cancelled that, and then I realised the guy I should go to is Jools. Also, our fanatical model railway enthusiasm bonded us together. So we started recording."

Jools added: "I was just packing up to go away for Christmas, and you rang me. We hadn't really spoken at any length before. I thought 'I love Rod, how exciting,' and you said 'I want to do a record'.

"I'd been a fan of Rod forever but we realised with the old music that we liked a lot of the same things."
